Everyone has to start somewhere right!  Whether you’d like to create a blog around something you’re personally interested in, explore new ways you’d like to interact with the internet, create a digital resume to stand out from other job applicants, or just create something for fun, I’m going to show you some great affordable ways to get started.

 

Blue Host – Great company for domain hosting services and website creation tools.  I’m very happy with their services.  I really like how Blue Host comes with a free install of Word Press so you’re able to get started and published to the internet quickly.  Their customer service is exceptional.  I personally like  the ability to chat with a rep at anytime and they answer questions right away.

 

 

MailChimp – If you own a business and want to get the word out or you’ve started a website and would like to generate some traffic around it, MailChimp as some great tools to assist with that.  I use MailChimp to help me keep my subscribers in the loop to what’s new as well as sending cookbooks.

WordPress – WordPress is a great tool for building a responsive flexible website.  There are so many benefits to using WordPress.  Because of its flexibility, it’s great for the seasoned web master or the beginner.  The plugins add amazing functionality.  WordPress sites tend to rank high on Google searches because of the ability to update keywords quickly.  The community for WordPress support is large and engaging.

  • This camera is great for the seasoned professional photographers or the beginners who are just starting great hobbies. I find this camera to be amazing in that it’s small and light, fits wonderfully in the hand, and takes great beautiful photos.  Whether it’s food or life events, it’s perfect!  I take this camera to the kitchen and on trips.

Sony Xperia XZ2 Smartphone

  • While the world is getting wrapped up in the Apple ecosystem, many are sleeping on one of the best smartphones around and possibly the phone with one of, if not, the best cameras around in. It’s so good that other companies with smartphones are getting some of their components from Sony.  Being able to quickly take out my phone and take an amazing photo of a dish or just to capture life in general is made easy with the Xperia XZ2.  I get compliments on photos taken with my phone all the time.
